The
Northern Auto Parts Ltd. was started in 1925 by A.J. (Albert) Tatchell,
grandfather of the current principals. This has always been a family-owned
and family-run business with the current owners being third-generation.
The current president and General Manager is Don Tatchell. Don has been involved in the business since 1972 and has served as president of Independent Distributors Ltd (IDL). IDL is a well-established buying group of independent jobbers in Western Canada.
Alan Tatchell joined the operation in 1984 and is vice-president of the company. He is in charge of operations and looks after inventory management.
The secretary-treasurer for the firm is Jack Tatchell, having been with Northern Auto since 1974. He is currently a member of the Board of Directors of the Automotive Industries Association of Canada (AIA) serving as chairman of the Saskatchewan Division.
Having a total of 75 years of experience between them, these three men assumed ownership of the operation of Northern Auto Parts from their father, Larry Tatchell, in 1994 and have continued its successful operations since that time.

Northern
Auto Parts has been an active member of the Automotive Industries Association
of Canada since 1949 and continues its involvement through Jack, Division
Chairman and member of the Board of Directors since 2000.
In 1996, the company aligned itself with Uni-Select in order to best meet the needs of our expanding clientele base. Uni-Select is one of the largest suppliers of automotive aftermarket products in North America. This offers a total product line coverage with prompt accessibility of these parts to our business associates.
OUR OPERATIONS
Northern Auto Parts is open regularly Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
While we pride ourselves on being one of the top automotive parts supply houses in Saskatchewan, we also realize that for many service outlets, training and education is vital. Therefore, we offer comprehensive educational courses and seminars on specific product knowledge and system component-related diagnostics.
As an added bonus, we offer monthly specials on parts and accessories that ensure clients can take advantage of competitive pricing on quality products.
And we will deliver! - locally within the hour as well as being able to usually provide overnight service for our out-of-town clients.
Aside from our full line of automotive parts, we also supply tools and equipment, such as floor jacks, lifts, hoists and front-end alignment machines. We can get you the latest in diagnostic equipment.
We also provide autobody supplies including a full line of paint, body fillers and abrasives.
Our inventories also include products for the heavy duty, fleet and agricultural markets.
If you need it, we can get it for you!
While credit terms may be established, we also accept Visa, MasterCard, Interac™ DirectPayment and business or personal cheques. Of course, we also accept cash!
